Cats Meet Dog
I’ve been outside with my camera this morning. Babe Cattykins and Danny Mittens have been enjoying the sunshine.
Only trouble is my sister’s dog arrived, he’s here for the day. Danny doesn’t mind him, they were kittens together, or is that puppies?
Babe doen’t trust dogs though and she keeps her distance.

The Dog Who Thinks He’s A Cat

Chippy Jack Russell
Chippy the Jack Russell is treated as an honorary cat after spending his entire life around cats; but now the Cats Protection League in Stroud, Gloucestershire in the UK is seeking a home for him.
Chippy was taken into the charity at the same time as several cats were brought in from the same household.
Liz Dart, who is fostering Chippy, said: “At first we were told he was 19, blind and deaf but that wasn’t the case. We couldn’t leave Chippy behind because he had lived with cats all his life. I suppose, having always lived among them he just doesn’t know any different. He never learned how to be a dog
“He goes to bed with Annie, one of the other cats, as they are very close and ideally we would home them together. She’s very protective of him. He didn’t really bark and still uses a litter tray now. He has chewed up a toy mouse – whether he was responding to cat nip on it, I don’t know. He eats dog food now – goodness knows what he ate before.”
It is now thought that Chippy is around 14 years old. Although he doesn’t mind children Miss Dart thinks a quieter home would be better suited for this old, gentle dog.
If you’re in the Gloucestershire area and you want a dog that gets on with cats, Chippy could be the dog for you. And if you could make room for his best friend Annie you could make an old dog very happy.
