Focus on Animal Charities and Rehoming

I keep hearing about charities from around the world being inundated with more animals than they can really deal with, they are getting desperate to find new homes for them.

There are soaring numbers of cats being left at charitable establishments. In the UK the RSPCA blames this partly on the rise in people failing to get their cats neutered, leading to a growing number of unwanted kittens.
 
But there have also been increasing numbers of older abandoned animals; often the recession is being cited as the reason by people giving up their pets. And while there may be extenuating circumstances; I know that I would have to be at my wit’s end if I had to give up my cats, they are family.
 
There are hundreds of charities around the world advertising animals that need adopting. If you are not in a position to adopt any yourself, please consider giving time or money to your local animal charities – times are hard.
